Honoring the Johnson Family

With heavy hearts, we remember Savannah and Karaline Johnson, beloved members of the MVDC Dance Force, and their father, Nathan Johnson. Their vibrant spirits, warmth, and joy left an indelible mark on our studio community.

In memory of their light and legacy, we are proud to introduce the Karaline and Savannah Johnson Memorial Scholarship. —a meaningful initiative dedicated to supporting MVDC Dance Force dancers and carrying forward the values they embodied.

This annual scholarship is awarded to dancers within the MVDC Dance Force community who demonstrate outstanding dedication, kindness, perseverance, and a passion for the art of dance—qualities that Savannah and Karaline embodied so beautifully. Thank you to Imagine Dance Challenge and the Star Dance Alliance for providing funding for the scholarship.

Award Details:

  • Recipients: Each year, at our annual recital, two deserving MVDC Dance Force members will be selected as scholarship recipients.

  • Benefits: $1250 worth of financial support toward tuition or training expenses at MVDC.

  • Selection Criteria: Applicants will submit an essay and be evaluated based on qualities such as work ethic, artistic growth, community spirit, and alignment with the Johnson family's legacy.
